Extremely rare, one-off, custom built Defender 110 Double Cab pickup finished in Bonatti Gray. It was built by Powerplay Racing in Colorado, and Columbia Rovers in Oregon. It is truly a one of one. This is a completely functional 4 door pickup ready for daily driving, off-roading, or whatever you have to throw at it. This Defender has never been driven in the rain and has yet to venture off-road and has only been driven 2500 miles since its build and only during perfect dry weather. It is ALL new down to every component, wire, stainless bolt, etc. This was an extensive frame off, complete build using only the best parts and creative craftsmen that money can buy.

This truck was in SEMA this year under the ARB/Powerplay Racing banner sporting the new ARB bumper and a modded ARB suspension.
The goal of the project was to create a very usable and durable Defender pickup that could be driven every day. This Rover is reliable and easy to drive. It has more power and less weight than any other Defender I have ever driven. It’s quick in a very non-Rover way. I am consistently asked why this Defender was not fitted with a diesel. Most of those people that ask that question have never driven a diesel Rover. Nothing wrong with diesels, I love them, but there’s nothing like a V8 growl and that blessed throttle response!! Not to mention that it doesn’t stink, is much quieter at all RPM’s, and replacement parts are readily available. Again, not knocking diesels, they are fabulous for fuel economy, torque, and reliability, but let’s call a duck a duck. This truck is a custom built, semi resto mod with no regard for originality.

Registered in Colorado as a 1963 Series II 109 pickup. Hand assembled utilizing parts ranging from 1963 to 2009. The frame was completely sandblasted and powder coated. All body panels were painted prior to assembly ensuring complete coverage at seams. Most of the drivetrain, body and suspension hardware is brand new high grade stainless steel. The wiring harness is a brand new factory unit for a 1993 NAS 110 so all of the lights and switches are supported without modification. The lights, bulbs, and connectors are all new. Aftermarket fusebox assembly that handles all aftermarket equipment. All the fuel lines have been replaced with brand new factory parts and one stretch of custom braided stainless steel line incorporating the fuel filter. The wheel wells and much of the undercarriage were sprayed with LineX bed coating for corrosion resistance and aesthetic quality. The fuel tank was plucked from a domestic Range Rover, hot flushed, and refinished prior to installation. The fuel pump, sender, fuel lines, and filter are all brand new. The fuel rail was hot tanked and injectors professionally serviced. All components used on this build are new unless stated as used or reconditioned.
